Remote Control Privacy Policy Summary

Introduction
Kiddoware (operated by General Solutions and Services, LLC) develops parental control apps, including Kids Place and Safe Browser. The Remote Control app and web-based Admin Dashboard allow parents to manage these apps across multiple devices. This Privacy Policy explains the additional information collected when using the Remote Control service, in addition to the data already described in the Kids Place and Safe Browser privacy policies. For questions, contact support@kiddoware.com.

1. Information We Collect Through Remote Control

The Remote Control dashboard displays and transmits data already collected through Kids Place or Safe Browser (e.g., device settings, usage, and location if enabled by parents).

In addition, the dashboard may collect:

  • Parent Account Data: Email address(for login and communication),password for authentication, name, phone number(optional).

  • Device ID# and Device Name (Persistent identifier): Used to identify and distinguish devices when parents connect multiple devices under the same account. Parents may update device names.

  • IP Address / Logs: May be processed automatically by servers or third-party providers when accessing the dashboard.

  • Limited Purchase Metadata: Kiddoware receives limited purchase information from payment providers (e.g., transaction ID and status) to verify and manage subscriptions or one-time purchases. Full payment details are processed by Stripe, PayPal, or Google Play and are not stored by Kiddoware.

2. Third-Party Services Used by Remote Control

In addition to the services listed in the Kids Place and Safe Browser policies, the Remote Control dashboard uses:

  • Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics (Google): To analyze parent/admin dashboard usage and improve functionality.

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): Sends optional notifications to device.

  • OneSignal: To provide optional desktop/browser notifications.

  • Google Maps (Google): To display device location as a pin on a map if a parent enables geo-tracking or geofencing.

  • AWS (Amazon Web Services): Hosts Kiddoware’s backend servers and databases.

  • Zendesk, Twilio, SendGrid: For app communication (both transactional and limited promotional content) and if parents contact support, their email and message may be processed by these providers solely to respond to their request.

  • Google Play In-App, Stripe and PayPal: Process subscription and one-time payments; Kiddoware only receives limited purchase metadata (e.g., transaction ID, status) and does not store full payment details.

  • Cookies: When parents use the web-based dashboard, cookies may be generated. These can include session identifiers (to keep you logged in), consent state, and analytics identifiers.
